Effective August 20, 2010 the Massachusetts Board of Registration in Dentistry will require that all offices administering local anesthesia have an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) on-site and staff trained to use it.
But it’s not just a new mandates it’s the right thing to do; for your patients as well as to protect your business. These three articles provide some information on the the use of AEDs in dental offices as well as what we’re seeing when they are not.
As a special promotion, Emergency Response Training is offering a significant discount to all Massachusetts Dental offices on AED packages and training.
All packages will include the following items:
Packages with optional items such as the 'standard' carrying case, wall mount bracket, AED signs, alarmed wall cabinets spare battery, spare pads, infant/child pads are available as well.
Finally, we will also offer discounts on CPR training. Our standard rate for the 'initial' “BLS for the Healtchare Provider” course is $60 (plus $25 for textbook and CPR Barrier Mask). The Refresher course is $50. We will offer a discount of 20% off course tuition whether we do it on-site (minimum six students) or at our Woburn training center (no minimum, course is offered monthly).
